Storage Shed Considerations

- Friday, April 26, 2013

storage sheds Fireplace ShowcaseThe warm weather is here and now is the time to start organizing your yard and garage. A storage shed may be the right solution. As homeowners, especially those with families, we can accumulate a lot of “stuff”, from yard equipment to recreational equipment to kids toys and gardening tools.

But just any shed won’t do. In the rain and snow particle board will fall apart after a short time leaving you with an eyesore in the backyard rather than a storage shed. If you are looking at gardening sheds and storage sheds, be sure you are looking at sheds that are made from exterior quality wood.

When you are considering a model or style of shed, consider what you will be using it for. Have an idea of what kind of equipment you will store in it. In fact, a good idea is to set out everything in your driveway so that you can then see how much square footage floor space you will need. Depending on your yard size and what you are using it for, you may also want to consider a ramp or shelving.

At the Fireplace Showcase in Seekonk we carry a wide selection of storage sheds in many sizes and styles including Chateau, Gambrel, Delmar and Quaker. Most of our shed models are available in vinyl, pine or cedar.
